At Elis Pest Control Northern Ireland, we pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards in pest control services. One of the ways we achieve this is through our comprehensive Elis Pest Control Academy. We require all our technicians and supervisors to participate in this rigorous training program to stay current with industry innovations, legislative updates, and new operational methods.
Over the past two days, we had the pleasure of hosting a dedicated group of our team members at the Academy. This intensive training session included both theoretical and practical components, ensuring that our staff are well-versed in the latest techniques and regulations in pest control. The training was not only informative but also hands-on, allowing participants to apply what they learned in real-world scenarios and special thanks to Niamh in representing a customer as we studied how we need to interact with customers and ensure we are addressing their concerns.
Comprehensive Training for Excellence
The training covered several key areas essential for effective pest control management:
Industry Innovations: Keeping up with the latest tools and technologies in pest control to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Also sharing experiences of using our Elis CONNECT system on-site, and how the data assisted their choices in response.
Legislative Updates: Discussions around the changes from July 2024 regarding the legal authorisation for the sale of certain rodenticides (bromadiolone and difenacoum) for open areas and waste dumps that are being withdrawn .
New Operating Methods: Learning and practicing new techniques and methods to stay ahead in the field and refreshers in basic safety – ladder safety and also dealing with wasp nests and new programs for nest removal.
We are thrilled to congratulate Mick Murray, Wester Supervisor and Declan, Thomas, Sean, Ruari, Jason, both Conors, and Stephen on successfully completing the training. Each of them received their diplomas and Elis pins, symbolising their commitment to excellence and continuous improvement, we look forward to adding more technicians to the academy later in the Summer.
